THE RALLY OF SARDINIA
The myth of the 80s returns. The first "African" rally organized outside the continent. It was Renato Zocchi, on his return from Dakar in 1984, who conceived it, with his brother Guido, and developed it until it became the test of the World Rally Raid Championship, cars and motorcycles, with the Paris Dakar and the Rally of the Pharaohs. In 1987, over 1,000 people registered for the rally, including car and motorcycle participants, assistants and enthusiasts who wanted to follow the exploits of their heroes and share the Spartan life in campsites and lunches with the shepherds. In 2019, Adventure Riding in collaboration with DEUS Milano , re-propose «Il Mito». It is immediately record! 130 starters divided into 2 categories: one tourist and one competitive, self-timed special stages and departure from the Monza racetrack, where a large audience of motorcyclists attended the first special stage. For the second edition the original formula returns: start and first special stages at the Malpensa motocross field in Gallarate and first stage up to Genoa with a second special stage. Boarding from Genoa for Sardinia, where the other 3 stages from 200 to 230 km each will take place, along a completely new route.METHOD OF PARTICIPATION
There are two possibilities for participation: - a NON-COMPETITIVE “Swank Experience” open to all types of off-road motorcycles. - a COMPETITIVE, “Swank Rally” divided into two categories:. R1 - historic motorcycles registered before 31/12/1999,. R2 - modern motorcycles, maxi enduro, scrambler and specialist enduro, registered after 31/12/1999.THE ORGANIZATION, A GUARANTEE
Next to Deus, the original team of the 80's Rally di Sardegna, led by Renato Zocchi of Adventure riding, famous pilot of the 70's / 80's: Italian motocross champion, 3rd in the world championship, winner of the Rally dei Paraoni, 2 ° at the Baja 1000 and protagonist of the Paris Dakar, in 1984 he invents together with his brother Guido, the Rally of Sardinia and later organizes the Giro d'Italia Automobilistico, and numerous other highly successful international events.
